By placing implants in the palate and the buccal vestibule, cross elastics can be used to intrude molars. Before temporary anchorage device, orthognathic surgery was really the only means of intruding the posterior maxilla. Finally, temporary anchorage device have given Goodyear orthodontists a reliable means of anchorage to move teeth in a partially edentulous patient. The patient with multiple missing teeth can be especially challenging since they are frequently lacking adequate anchorage points for the desired tooth movements. Temporary anchorage device can provide the necessary points of anchorage to allow for the desired tooth movements.
