Community Involvement
More than just beautiful smiles.
Giving back is part of our core value system. That is why Dunn Orthodontics is committed to serving the communities in which we live and work. Throughout the years, Dunn Orthodontics has supported numerous charitable organizations, schools and community sports teams. 
We are so proud when we see the Dunn Orthodontics logo on those desperately needed new sports jerseys or on the scoreboard for our kid’s swim team. We are also happy to provide water and candy to local Halloween block parties. But our giving goes much deeper.
We love to incorporate the participation of our patients and families in our events. It warms our hearts to see our families show up with armloads of food to help out those less fortunate during one our food drives. Following the Japanese Tsunami, everyone wanted to help even though the victims were a world away. Dunn Orthodontics donated a dollar to the Red Cross relief effort for every reward point our patients donated to the cause. 
More recently, we donated $5 for every person who chose pink ties for their braces during the month of October to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through the thoughtfulness of our amazing patients we raised more than $1,000 for the American Cancer Society.
One of our major community events is the Relay for Life which raises money for the American Cancer Society. Not only do we sponsor this event, the entire Dunn Orthodontics team fundraises and participates in this 12 hour walk to eradicate all types of cancer. It is an incredibly emotional experience to hear stories from amazing survivors and the stories from friends and family of those who lost their battle. Our legs were tired, but our spirits were lifted knowing we were doing something to make a difference. We met new friends and saw some of our great patients walking for the same cause.
Our HOPE Phoenix
Even with all these events, the Dunn Orthodontics team wanted to do more for the community. That is why in February of 2013, we launched Our HOPE Phoenix. Through Our HOPE Phoenix, we will donate $18,000 to local charities annually. Between February 1 and May 30, three charities are highlighted and the public is asked to learn all they can about them to vote for their favorite. The first place winner will receive $5,000, second place $3,000 and third place $1,000. Starting August 1, three new charities will be featured and voting will proceed until November 30. Participants are encouraged to share their votes on social media sites like Facebook to help these great organizations receive widespread exposure as well as monetary gain.
Through our charitable giving, we hope to not only benefit the greater community but hopefully also inspire others to do the same.
